Mira: liberia's first Fully coordinated chimpanzee rescue
LCRP is thrilled to announce the very first organized, fully coordinated, official and recognized confiscation of a living chimpanzee being held captive in Liberia. This is a ground breaking event and took great planning and collaboration between many individuals and sophisticated strategies upon arrival at the site. The truly amazing work of Liberia's Forestry Development Authority - LCRP's primary partner - and Liberia National and Local Police Units shows the immense commitment to stopping illegal wildlife trade in the country. The impressive work pre, during and following this confiscation is clearly indicative of great things to come in the fight against Wildlife Trafficking in Liberia! ​
