Protecting & conserving wild populations
Located in a range state with the second largest population of Western chimpanzees remaining in the wild, Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue & Protection plays a key role in driving initiatives and leveraging support to protect and conserve wild individuals and populations.
Our work directly impacts the capacity of wildlife and conservation agencies, making us central to chimpanzee conservation efforts. The Western chimpanzee population has depleted by close to 80% in the past twenty five years - conservation efforts on their behalf are crucial to the survival of this critically endangered species. |
