Rudolph (Rudy) was one of the youngest orphans to come into the care of LCR’s Directors. Arriving near Christmas, Rudy was very pale and weak and was estimated by the local community to be only 2 months old due to his small size and low level of development. However, after a few weeks of TLC, proper diet and rehabilitation, Rudolph was thriving and his age was estimated closer to 5-6 months.
Rudy rapidly gained strength and an ability to move about and communicate. He is a healthy eater and loves his cereal and is always excited about the variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds offered each day. Rudolph is very sweet and unbearably cute and has bonded strongly with the other chimps and his caregivers. He now spends most of his time, along with Lucy, in the older nursery group and can hold his own against his much larger sisters! He is now the BMOC! Rudy is a strong and happy individual.
Rudy's favorite food is pineapple!
