Guey is a highly active and energetic chimpanzee. Guey arrived with Sweet Pea, both confiscated around the same time. First spending time at a temporary rescue centre prior to arriving at LCR, Guey was very uncertain about how to act when treated with love and attention. She did not know how to play or interact, even with her group mate Sweet Pea.
However, while Guey started as shy and fearful, she has transformed into a strong, opinionated, and dominant chimp. She rules the small group of orphans and never stops moving or wanting attention. Guey eats an amazing amount of food and has steadily gained weight, making her a very stocky and heavy “little” girl! She is extremely agile and loves climbing all over the enclosure and swinging on bars and ropes. Guey absolutely loves any game – with the other chimps, with caregivers or even with a toy or enrichment item she is given. Guey is known also for her very expressive face!
Guey's favorite food is Peanuts!
